	Dr. John Champlin MD
	Dr. John Champlin, MED Center’s Medical Director, Graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1983. He completed an internship and residency at the University of California, Davis in Family Practice and has practiced in Sacramento since 1984. He is Board Certified by the American Academy in Family Medicine and also Board Certified by The American Board of Disability Evaluators. He is active in both occupational and primary care medicine. His interests include extensive travel, scuba diving, and fishing.

	Jesse Ewing, PA-C
	I began my medical career at age 17 as an Air Force medic. I worked at a 40 bed unit for my first year then was hand picked to lead the enlisted core men in CCU at a 1,000 bed medical center. In that position I achieved my LVN. Next, I became a shift leader in an ER and trained as a combat medic. I worked in Lompoc, CA as a paramedic for 2 years. I then went to Cardiopulmonary school and worked and taught students for the next 5 years. I then went to PA school at the University of Nebraska. I graduated with honors and a Master’s of PA studies in 1990. I came to work with Med Center in 1992 part time while in the Air Force and in 1996 I retired from the Air Force and became a partner with Dr. Champlin at Med Center Medical Clinic. Currently, I also work with returning veterans in PTSD screening. I also function as sub-investigator in Clinical Research and we have completed over 200 studies.

	Amber Emery-Esparza, PA-C
	Amber Emery-Esparza, PA-C is a Spanish speaking provider who recently joined the Med Center in August of 2008. She completed her Master’s program in Physician Assistant studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She has worked previously as a Physical Therapy Aide as well as coaching Cross Country and Track at the collegiate level.
